Lecture (title TBD) held in conjunction with ReTooled: Highlights from the Hechinger Collection
Sarah Tanguy, former curator of The Hechinger Collection, will speak about John Hechinger’s acquisition of a tool-inspired collection. Tanguy is a curator for ART in Embassies, US Department of State, as well as an independent curator and critic based in Washington, DC. Recent projects include “Mapping: Memory and Motion in Contemporary Art,” “Vanishing Boundaries,” a joint US/Lithuania photography exhibition, “Taken for Looks,” an all-photography, food-inspired exhibition, “Breaking Bread,” a Cuba/Russia/US exhibition, and an ongoing exhibition series for the American Center for Physics.
Advance registration required; seating is limited. Reception at 6 pm; talk 6:30 – 7:30 pm.
Free for Bruce members and students (with valid ID); $15 for non-members.
