Bruce Presents: Duchamp to De Kooning, Kahlo to Koons: 100 Years, 100 Works of Art
This event is no longer on sale.
Can a single work of art symbolize a year in history? Renowned art historian Dr. Agnes Berecz faced this dilemma while writing 100 Years, 100 Works of Art: A History of Modern and Contemporary Art, which presents and thoroughly details one work for art to sum up every year between 1918 and 2008. Join Dr. Berecz – along with Katja Zigerlig, Vice President of Fine Art, Wine & Collectibles at Berkley One – for an interactive discussion of the criteria that guided the choices found in the book. In a twist, the audience will be invited to vote on 10 artworks – one for each decade covered in the volume.
Doors open 6:20 pm; reception begins at 6:30 pm, followed by panel and Q&A, 7:00-8:30 pm.
