Art Workshop Seaside Center

Monday July 7

Other dates...

10:00 AM  –  12:00 PM

In this 2 hour class located at the beautiful Seaside Center, we will learn about some of the intersections between art and science as well as methods in observational artwork before participants will have the chance to either create sculptures or watercolor paintings inspired by some of the amazing specimens, plants and wildlife found here in our local ecosystem!

Guidance will be provided throughout the class, and all levels are welcome to join. This class is designed for older students (at least 12 years old) and adults of all skill levels to get creative and paint or sculpt something inspired by the ecology of Long Island Sound and our unique park here! If time allows, participants may have the opportunity to engage in both media.

Art Meets Science and Beach Landscape will be outside the Bruce Museum Seaside Center at Greenwich Point Park

Come and join artist Phin Anibal at the Innis Arden Cottage in scenic Greenwich Point Park. This two-hour event will include an introduction to watercolor techniques, followed by the opportunity for participants to paint a landscape from their preferred view of the beach, with guidance offered throughout the course! Create a beautiful piece of art to hang in your home!

Ages 12 and up recommended. All experience levels welcome!

All materials will be provided; however, you are also welcome to bring your own.

Fees: $40 for Bruce Museum members, $50 for nonmembers.
